Make T-shirts to be worn on campuses

Cath 13 ár síðan updated by anonymous 7 ár síðan 15

Israelize t-shirts should be made and be avaliable for sale to campuses around the world. One group could make them and then allow people to order them over the net and ship them or each campus can have a "T-shirt group" to make them in their own neighbourhood. Other things can also be made with the "Isrealize" emblem on it eg hoodies, scarfs etc. On certain days everyone can wear their shirts and post the pictures on the net, creating a "T-shirt awareness day". When poeple see us wearing the t-shirts etc some might ask what they are for, creating a great conversation starter, tell them how awesome Israel is!

I love this idea! What steps do you see we need to take? How would we get the tshirts out?
Also, we want to think of ideas for fundraising for this. How much would it cost to get running.
How much can you figure out?
Where do you need help?

Perhaps you could cooperate with the Nu Campaign.  They're an Israel-based group that prints really awesome awareness T-shirts. http://www.nucampaign.org/
Has anyone checked on this by now?

I just looked at Nu Campaign and they are really cool. It would really work out well if we could get them to make it cause then everybody can get it from the same source and they are obviously pros at this so it would make it a lot easier for everybody. However, the only thing is the price, I know that us in South Africa for example may not all be able to pay +/- $18 which is +/- R160. It would be a lot cheaper to get it made in our country. If we can talk to them about that then that or find another way of getting the money through some sort of fundraiser that would be great.

Futhermore, I think there should be a group or so on each campus that takes part to organise the t-shirt distribution, so all the t-shirts go to one address and they can distribute them, it may just make it easier.

Ok, wrote Nu. You should too and mention 'Israelize.' I am thinking that a good relationship with Israelize/United with Israel might make the tShirts more affordable. OR, perhaps they will just sponsor us and then we can raise funds for our own tShirts to sell to students for much, much, much less.
That would be great. How do we go about approaching them?

Another t-shirt idea would be to make "I heart Israel" t-shirts.  These could look just like the "I heart NY" t-shirts, but could maybe have the Israelize emblem on the back.  I have seen lots of students on my campus wear the "I heart NY" shirts from when they visited NY.  Students would be able to duplicate that same look and show their support for Israel without even having to travel. By offering the shirts in lots of different colors, I think we could attract a pretty large market.

That's a really nice design! It's simle and gets the message across.

We now need to make campuses aware and get their show of interest. Each campus then needs a T-shirt group to distribute and market the capaign on campus so that we can start with the t-shirt manufacturing. But before any of that can happen we need some one to make the t-shirts.

I want my t-shirt! Yalla guys :-)
Being that Israelize is only a week old, we need to connect with more people in order to connect to more campuses directly. Then, we can seriously launch the Tshirt campaign.
So, priority right now is to grow our network. At the same time, we can plan to launch. Let's keep the train moving!

Questions:
  1. What should the tshirt say? Shall it have several messages?
  2. Colors?
  3. Delivery? Cost? Free?

the t-shirts should have the israelize logo on and than maybe a catchy phrase. the "i <3 israel/israelize" is a cool idea. we can increase the amout of phrases as need be. i think we should only stick to one or two colours so that it makes more impact. seeing as blue and white are the colours of the israeli flag, they ,ay be good colours to use.

however, we do first need to make campuses aware of isrelize. pro-israel groups on campuse need to spread the message and involve poeple. ppsters can be stuck up around campuses to make people aware etc.
